95 v6 with 109,000 Mileage, rpm/tranny question

Hi everybody, Im a new member here. I just bought this car today. I have some questions and I hope somebody will help me out with my problems/ questions.

• 1. Yesterday night when I inspected the car before I buy it, there was no warning light at all on the dash. But today, in the middle on the street ( I drove about 60 mil from the seller/private seller) the check engine light is "on".
• I was aware that there was not a check engine light "on" yesterday, I watched it with the purpose. What can i do for this problem?
• 2. Also, is that normal the rpm is about 4,200 for about 75 mil/hr speed? (the tires are slight bigger than the normal size). Because I had a v6 Rodeo, Path v6 the rpm was about 3,200rpm when the speed was about 72 mil/hr.
• 3. Seller told me that the timing belt replaced by the previous owner when the mil about 60k mil. how do I see if the timing belt still in good condition or not?
• 4. Seller gave me a regular key. The car has power lock/window. How do I know if this car has keyless system because I want to buy a keyless.

I wish somebody will help me.

2: I'm running 31x10.5R15s and 70 mph is 3100 rpms. Also mine is a 5 speed, and I get about 19 mpg on highway

Thanks for fast response. The most I concern is the 4000 rpm with 75-78mph.
Forget to mention, it is an auto. The tire is 31. Im getting nervous the tranny going bad or something not right with the tranny?

Update:
I just drove it; I tested the O/D. It was not working at all. Another word, the 4th gear doesnt go through at all, it stucks on the 3rd gear. (all the dash light are normal ); when I pushed the o/d button, there was nothing change at all. Any help please.
Is this a bad solenoid? Or a bad tranny? Why I couldnt find "solenoid" on the autopartwarehouse/ partsbin.com? Thank you in advance.

Could be solenoids, or temp sensor. or ECU. Go to the diagnostics box next to the fuses in the engine bay, jump the te1 and e1 terminals with a paper clip. turn your key to the ACC spot and see if the lights flash any codes, this should help with the check engine light. And could get you going in the right direction.

The super nice thing is I spent for only $ 15 at Pepboys then the O/D back to normal. I cant believe it, I couldn't find the solution of my O/D problem here (while there are/were bunch of them had/have similiar problem with mine).
You know what, it is a simple thermostat period

Im still searching how to replace my spark plug with detail information but I've not found it yet can you/somebody help me out please?
