I have a 96 4runner/5 speed manual/ 2.7l 4 cyl
I'm not real car savvy but here is my problem as best as I can explain it:
On startup the truck shakes pretty violently and the rpms are real low so it almost dies. Usually this goes away after a couple seconds or a few minutes at the most.
So I took it into a shop and they tuned it up a bit. I don't remember off hand what they all did, the info is in my truck which is at a different location because it wouldnt start when I was leaving work today. Anyways it ran like a champ for the next 1-2 weeks after leaving the shop. This week the shaking came back. And along with the shaking large amounts of thick white exhaust on startup. This heavy exhaust dissipates after it has been driven for a few minutes. But today, I go to start it up, and it shakes real bad and doesnt fully turn over.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
