Hey, this is my first time on this forum so please be kind. I have a '96 ltd with 4wd. I had a used engine put in the other day with 90k on it. When I got it back the 4wd won't kick in. If I hit the button above 20 mph or so, I can feel something happening but no light and the front wheels do not engage. I don't know if the hubs are not engaging or if it is in the transfer case. i brought it back to the guy a couple days ago and they found a plug under the car that wasn't plugged in and hooked it up but still nothing. He says now it may be in the transfer case but I just can't believe that such a thing is not related to the new engine. Does anyone know what may be going on? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
