96 dash lighting and other questions...

Ello everyone,

I just bought my 1st car the 4Runner this past weekend and its a 96 limited. There are some minor issues with it and wanted to know if anyone could help me out.

I'm totally new to this whole thing and don't know much about cars. Thankfully I have a fiance who does but I also want to learn more about it myself.

My questions are...

I've noticed that part of my dash lighting is out. Specifically the AC/heat adjusting, etc. and part of the radio. Can anyone tell me whats the best way to go about replacing the bulb and what type of bulb does it take?

Also the radio antenna is missing. Whats the best way to replace that?

Another question I have is did/does the limited 96 have keyless entry? If so how and where does one go about getting one?

I believe that's it for now. Though I'm sure I'll have more later. lol

The best way to replace all your lighting is to go with LED's..

Wow thats some sweet lighting. I love it! I've got a 96 do you think it will be pretty easy to just switch over to LEDs?

Pretty much everything in that picture will be easy to change.

The footwell lights are not stock so if you wanted to that you would have to run some wires.

Just be aware that LEDs will cause hot spots. They don't look terrible.

HID headlight

Look at the price and how easy it's to install, I'm very tempting to get a set of the HID XENON CONVERSION KIT. One more question if anyone would help me answer. Compare to the regular light bulds, would the XENON light bulds last longer or shorter? And for the replacement, I only need to replace the light bulds, not the entire kid, right?

I'm not sure about life span, but you need the whole kit. You can't simply plug in a HID bulb. The best way to do HIDs is to retrofit, but this can be hard.
