So here's the deal. The rear outer axle seals were leaking onto my rear brakes pretty much making them useless. Had to get a garage to fix because I had dads car in my garage. Funny how that works out. Dad gets his fixed for free and I have to pay for mine. Anyways I had the seals replaced but they were telling me that the outer seals (as in the seal in hub?????) were leaking also and there was a special tool to remove the ABS wheel to get it all apart. We tried just replacing the axle seals to see if that worked. So the end of last week (one week after getting it back) the new front rotors were warped so it went back for warranty and they told me that the axles are still leaking so the seals in the hubs need replacing. I'm a front wheel drive GM guy so my knowledge is limited on this. Every rear end I've worked on has cir-clips that have to be removed to remove the axle and there is only one seal. This doesn't really make sense to me. Anyone have that issue before? or is a total croc of shit? Sorry, it just seems fishy to me.
