My alarm has a mind of its own and goes off randomly is there a way i can disarm it and still have the keyless entry. Can i just uplug the whole box togetheir. I did some research and couldnt find anything. Thx

Mine did this too, especially in the quite of the night when everyone was sleeping. I ended up just taking the remote apart and cleaning all the rubber and plastic pieces really well. There was a lot of junk in there. I just figured the buttons were getting stuck. After cleaning it I haven't had a problem yet.

I don't think unplugging the alarm will work since the starter kill is probably routed through the alarm unit.

I actually uninstalled my VIP alarm and all the wiring harnesses on my '98 prior to getting a Python aftermarket system put in. It took me about 2 hours to do the research and reverse-engineer the installation instructions.
