97 4Runner Suspension Headaches

I recently replaced my stock suspension with Bilstein HD's. Ever since, my suspension has been driving me nuts. It's mostly related to side to side motion. It's hard to explain, but it jiggles like jello and it's too much for my taste. I replaced the front sway bar bushings, but it has not improved. Any idea what this might be? I was hoping for a much stiffer ride but instead I've got a jostling machine.

Thanks

You should have less of that jell-o feel with the Bils, almost none at all. Crawl under there and check out everything because something sounds seriously wrong. Like something disconnected and not put back properly.

I just switched over the SS 7.2 system and prior to that I had the HD Bilst. and they were much stiffer than stock. If you have the Jello feeling after the install double check its functionality. I hope you did not get a dud shock.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. They must either be defective, or the mechanic did something screwy when he installed it. The ride is definitely worse than prior to the install.
