97 Rough Ride

I have a 97 4-Runner.
shocks have proly never been changed. Anyone have any suggestions on the type of shocks I should get. This is just a street vehicle, to and from work and around town.

You are on a truck chassis so your not going to get a much smoother ride. I would suggest the factory shocks as the best riding shocks. You might also get more response if you post this in the 3rd gen sect. Most people here in GD are posting about their 4th gens where they haven't had to replace the shocks yet. where as they have in the 3rd gen sect.

likely the springs just as much as the shocks

3rd gen rear sag is well documented. Your springs are likely shot as well.

You might want some 99 tall springs or some Old Man Emu.
