97' SR5 2WD Refresh Parts List? [Updated]

I will go ahead and have that done this week.

I did notice where the squeak comes from. When I press down on the tow hitch I get a squeak from the rear. From a distance and from the front.

I would also like to add that I can see a visible lean. When sitting in the car it leans to the left, when parked and standing behind and facing, the car is seen to lean to the left. I am going to check Center Hub to Fender and Floor the Fender to see if my car is not leveled. I am guessing it is the springs that are shot.

You mentioned that you were level on all 4 corners before starting. Any chance you crossed the front springs over? Fronts are side specific. Rears are likely not if still OEM.

I was 20” all around from Hub Center to Fender. I will measure tonight and find out. It could be possible. Regardless I just sourced a whole OEM spring set for 40 bucks.

I did not know that haha.

Stick with rubber in the future. These poly bushing companies are really good at marketing though. Expect to re-grease those bushings in the future if you don't want even worse squeaks. Or in the labor it can take to do that you can also go back to rubber. It worked for 20+ years after all.

You have a point on the rubber.

I am currently leaning to the possibility that the springs could have been crossed. Just looked it up and there are specific springs for the left and right. I am going to give him a call tomorrow, bring my car in for Ball Joints and have him switch the springs/struts while he's at it.

I just got my car aligned on Friday and I am kicking my own ass because I am going to have to do it again.

Alright,

Attached are photos. I was unable to get a proper measurement tonight but I will check in the morning.

Edit: Half tank of gas.

I picked up a pair of rear springs/stoppers that have 150k on them. They look really good too, measured and no rust. Picked up some Upper and Lower Ball Joints from Crown Toyota in Ontario. Turns out they don’t match online prices. Instead of paying 324 I paid like 385.

Time to get this stuff knocked out.

Quick update:

My car was leaning due to a sag in the rear springs and a broken sway bar bolt. They extracted the bolt, re-threaded and replaced the bolt. After those two the truck returned to being level.

Upper and lower ball joints were replaced, both boots were ripped and had a lot of play in them, thankfully I replaced them.

Only issue now is a leaky valve cover but I am just going to re-torque the bolts and see if that gets rid of it, if not then I will have to plan on replacing the gasket.

I also need another alignment again due to my steering wheel not being straight from the work they did, second one this month. :ybrick:
