'97 SR5 3rd Gen power lock parts query

Hello all!

I have a '97 SR5 - last summer the push rod and internals in the driver's door finally gave up the ghost and the handle wouldn't open from the inside. I got that sorted before winter but my mechanic found most of the assembly including the lock solenoid was worn out.

He got some parts from a donor car but it had a different lock solenoid - as a result everything except the power locks works. The current one apparently is missing a set of electrical connections to make it all work. I'd like to get those working again, but I don't know the part number or where to find one. My guy is pretty good but he's been having trouble sourcing one from Toyota (who frankly want me to give up my baby for a new car - fat chance!).

Does anyone know the part number and more importantly where to find one?

I think your after 6904035150 LOCK ASSY, FRONT DOOR, LH

they don't make those no more. I would tell you your best bet is a pick'n'pull and just grab a drivers door off a 96-97. pretty sure(75% confidence rating) the 96-97 had the same door lock actuator assembly.

I will have to look but I think I might have a complete drivers door from a 97? maybe. BTW replacing that part is not a lot of fun.

edit: ok if that other part [MENTION=636371]BRTrubo[/MENTION] referenced will work, go for it. looks like they are cheap and plentiful with that part number.

Yeah, I've been running into issues finding it too and was wondering if they weren't in production anymore. And I agree - it is NOT fun messing around in the door! If that part Riceye noted doesn't fit the bill I may take you up on that door... :phone:

one of the problems with the older parts diagrams is they never go back and update the diagram with the "supersedes" part number. I did check to see if that older part had other references but not hits for me... so I hope that newer part number works... please post back if it does. boots on the ground info is the best info.

That appears to be the door lock mechanism with the actuator. The door lock
mech on its own appears to be 69320-35210. But both are discontinued in the
US. Amayama, at least, lists it at $94, $24 shipping.
