I bought my 4Runner used a while ago and I just realized that I have an alarm system (I suppose that also means keyless entry; I believe the system is the RS3000) but I never received a remote for the 4Runner. I bought this from a guy who is a friend of the family and runs a little car business (sells less than 10 a year so he isn't technically a "dealer")on the side of his normal job. Is there a way to arm the alarm just using the key? Also I don't have any guide to the alarm and I haven't found one on the internet yet.
I realized now (after 1 year of owning the car) that there is a little thing on the center console by my rear window button that resembles an alarm status indicator, however the light is never on or blinking or anything.
Can someone help me out to let me know if there's a way I can get this to activate without the remote?
