98 front quarter panel fender removal

So our 98 4runner had an incident with an unlucky deer this week. Good news is everyone else is just fine and I've found a cheap replacement headlight and fender from a donor rig near by.

My question is how do I go about removing the quarter panel and what tools will I need? Will something like a Hanes manual give me the walk through I need?

Yes,a Haynes will work fine for that and it's not too hard.

should only need the following sockets- 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, could have an 8mm and 17mm socket if you feel like you don't have enough tools. Also would be good to have a #2 phillips screwdriver, a small and large flathead. And for safe measure I like to have my long 45 degree needle nose, but a regular needle nose can still come in handy. Check your hood hinges, fender has to come off to replace them, so if you see rust looking residue around the pivot pin, or hood seems to deflect high on one side while closing this is a good opportunity to replace if needed. If I remember correctly mine was under $40 for one at the dealer.
