Hello 4Rnrs , First , if anyone wants to direct me to thread that address's this problem , feel free so you don't waste your time. here's my problem and hope someone can give me a better place to start at. 3 mos. ago I developed a skip. I checked the wires and sure enough 1 was worn right through. with 225,000 miles i decided to treat her with some lov'n. I bought all new coil pacs, ngk wire and ngk plugs. Whala , the car ran like brand new. Skip gone , performance better than ever ! All of a sudden I have skip with P0304. I Iknow it's #4 misfire code. At first I didnt now this so I cleaned the MAF and throttlebody. No fix. Now this skip is bad after sitting overnight. Once i start driving the skip preety much dissapears after 20 to 25 mins of variable speed driving. it will stay good preety much all day unless it cools down to absoute cold on the temp. guage. Let me say this , the morning temps here in the dark start at 82F. So the car is up to operating temp in less than 6 mins. it will still skip , seems as though it is a time thing and once it gets past the cold start skip it's good all day as it takes 3 hrs. with temps in the 90's to finally have the temp. drop to the bottom of the temp. guage. Anyone have some Ideas ? I'm gonna pull the #4 plug in the morning to see what it looks like before i start tommorow morning. Thanks and sorry for the long message , but tried to explain it.Thansk jeff Aruba P.S. it is an automatic and the skip is at when you start to accelerat like it has a load and also skips more between shift. As I said before , it eventualy clears completely up after 25 min. of driving ? Frign baffled !
