99-02 Headlights on my 97

hey.

im looking to get some of the 99-02 headlights for my 97 4runner.. right now i have the clear corners and bumper lights that match my 97 headlights.. will these look stupid with the new clear headlight lenses?????

if anyone has pics of this setup could you post them please?!?!?

no, I have a similar setup and it looks good. not to mention that the new headlights are brighter! 160 for both headlights sounds reasonable.

reasonable price but they do make a newer clear corner that you can get for under $40 for a pair on ebay. Its the 99-02 clear corners

how does your deckplate and isr mod sound together...

i like my deckplate, but im looking for a little more gain, if possible and i see that the ISR is the only way left ot do that....

ive heard it sounds loud, but almost in a bad way... what do you think?

but hey, i had a question about the quality of the 99-02 headlights sold on ebay for like 160.. i know they wouldn't be the same quality as the OEM ones....

has anyone gotten these and can vouch for the quality???

thanks for the pic. its a little tough to see, but in your opinion, how do they match up??? right now, my clear corners are actually clearer and then my current headlights... i have the older 96-98 ones...

are the 99-02 headlight lenses glass???

The newer versions are just a little more clear and the only people that notice the diff are 4Runner geeks like us. :nerd:

I have been wanting to do the 99-02 headlight upgrade and then get a set of bi-xenon HID's with a Casper shield. My driver's side headlight bracket is broken so it points a little low. Just haven't convinced my wallet yet.

It's a '99 so it already had the clear style headlamps.

well my big question is are they glass or plastic? that way i can tell if the ones on ebay are legit or not if yours are glass and the ones on ebay are plastic... you know what i mean?

They're all plastic,no glass versions.
Yes,the ebay versions aren't quite as good as quality as OEM but in the 4 years I've had 'em they given me no problems and worth the $20 I paid for 'em. My clear signals have been trouble free also.

If you mean headlamps then those are glass but unsure of factory knockoffs.

All headlamps I've seen,aftermarket of not,have all been glass.
