has anyone seen the new black housing diamond cut headlights on the 3rd generation t4r? i was wondering how they look on a silver t4r and if i should get em..... i saw them in the performance products catalog but i dont know if they are OEM or aftermarket

the black ones are aftermarket, and htey are not good, lots of stray lights, and u wont get the correct cut off. u can really tell beacuse one guy with all them fog lights wit the hid has a bad lighting output, u cant even see a cut off and its all stray light u see

i think the cutoff of the beam pattern was seriously over-analyzed and doesn't matter much anyway. The less cutoff the more light you have so who cares, it's all about the look someone wants. Besides, i have factory housings and they couldn't be any better than those cheepy black ones. You want better lighting? Get some auxillary lighting. you can switch them off as you would your high beams.
