99-02 sport hood on a 97.

I know it probably on this forum some where, but im too lazy to look right now. So will a 99-02 sport hood fit on my 97 w/o grinding? If it does ill be hittin someone up to get me one for my 18th in a couple weeks!

Hahaha Yea im kinda expecting it, but i was kinda curious so i had to ask the stupid question. Cause when i tell someone to order it for me and say if i get it and dont work i wont have to hear anything. Its easier hitting the back button and ignoring it than having to hear about it for acouple days haha

Good to know in case plans for mine change. Hell just looked it up and you can get the hood for 100 bucks. Not bad.

$100 for the hood. If new, that doesn't include the insert and misc pieces. Those pieces can run another $200-$300.

Certifit and rockauto both sell hood but yeah it does not include scoop guts. That's where the money is.

I know theres a scoop insert and the only place to get that is toyota for the ridiculous price it is. What else is there?

Certifit for the hood for sure if there is one local to you. For the bulge I'd just get the insert and grill. The rest you can source from a hardware store for the installation. I eneded up returning like 60 dollars worth of stuff after getting a bag of spares from the body shop my first go on the hood.

There used to be a thread on yotatech that gave the lowest prices that you can quote at your own dealer. DIY for the sport hood.
