99 4r oil ?

bought a 99 4r with 95k , been running dino oil and now i have 105k, would it be ok to make the switch to synthetic ? i have heard that older engines shouldnt go with a synthetic, help me out guys

I run Mobil1 5w30 since 120k and have had no problems. Benefits would include better mpg, from my experience. Don't know if others have had same result.

I switched both my '97 and my '99 at just about 100k and I now have 140k on my '99 and it has absolutley no leaks and the compression test results showed very little drop form it's factory spec.

I run M1 with a Puralator PureOne filter and I change it out at about 8k or every 10 months.

Mobil 1 full synthetic and I have 178k on my 99.

You can run synthetic. I highly recommend Amsoil oil and Ea filter.
