I have a '99 4Runner and my driver side door lock actuator stop working. I replaced it 4 years ago and now it broke again. When I received the new one it has this rubber piece on it with 2 holes as if air goes through it or something. I cannot for the life of me figure out what it does. The old one did not have that rubber piece connected to anything so do I need it or is it just extra. It seems as if it was used for vacuum locks of some sort.
Any info would be appreciated.
