99 4runner limited info

Hey! this is my first post and I'm excited about my 4runner. I recently got a 99 limited in black. So far I'm reallly liking it but I had a few questions.

When I bought it, there were and still are some minor scratches on the body and I wanted to know if anyone in south orange county could recomend the best place to get it looking clean and new again!

Also, I want to get a scoop hood like on the sport models....how do I go about doing that?

The scooped hood can only be bought from your TOYOTA dealer. Expect to pay about $350-$400+ for the hood, and paint will run about $400. Overall, you are looking at $800-$1k painted and installed.

I found just the scoop on ebay, but you have to cut a hole in the hood to make it function. However if u just want it to look cool it is held on w/ 3M tape but would need to be painted to match.

yea, those scoops always look so cheap though.

for me, its OEM or nothing.

You can go to any auto body parts store in your area. I am currently doing a 98 limited rebuilder and the hood with scoop is 153.00 and I will be damned if I can tell the difference between that and factory. You will still have to paint it though.
