99 4wd "tall Coils" Dealership question

hey i was trying to get the 99 4wd "tall Coils" from my bud at the dealership but he is asking me for a vin #??? does it affect anything

Shouldn't... Just order them from a 99' Limited 4x4 3.4l

Yes,they want the VIN and they will give you what came on your truck originally so if it had the taller coils you'll get 'em but if not you'll get the standard size so you need to specify the taller coils numbers to get them from a dealer.

Front Passenger Side Springs - Blue / Yellow (48131-35400)
Front Driver Side Springs - Blue / Pink (48131 - 35350)
Both Rear Springs - Yellow / Red (48231 - 35210)

^^^ somewhere around that price.... i think LC coils new from the dealer are like 180 a piece so the 4runner coils would probably be around the same

I paid about $360 for mine brand new from the dealer.

Prices have gone way up in less than 6 years since back in '05 I paid a $420 for coils and shocks including any rubber bumpstops i needed.

good point, I am taking this into consideration since I am looking into redoing my suspension (since it sucks ass). If I order 99s all around (for a one inch lift), it will cost me ~$390 (including shipping).

If I order 881/906 from wheelersoffroad.com...it will cost me ~$314+shipping and it'll give me a ~2 inch lift all around.

Now here's my idea, I don't want a big lift (2-3inch) so I figured something around one inch would be good. However, I feel like 99s all around is $$$. So my plan is to order 880s, front coil for $157 + shipping (one inch lift) and rear 99 coils, for $162 including shipping (from toyotapartzone), for a rear one inch lift. Totaling ~$320 for all four coils. Thus I would be saving 70 bucks. Or am I just a big idiot and this would totally not work and I am wasting my time. Help/input would be greatly appreciated. :thanks:
