99 center console in 97

Good day..
Can a 99 centre console fit in a 97?

This is the centre arm rest with the e-brake.
the 99 has cup holders on the lower portion. The only diff looks like the brake is off centre (closer to the passenger side).
However looking at my manual (96-01) they "appear" inter-changeable.
Any thoughts....
