99 headlights on a 97

Good day all...
I have a 97 4runner & im always getting hit in the headlights from rocks on the road during the winter. I am going to get clear plastic protectors but also since i have to change then lenses can i put 99 clear plastic lenses into the 97 spot. Same body, same shape not sure if the mounting would be the same. Do they still take H4 bulbs? Also anyone know where i can get a set?

yes, 99+ headlights will fit just fine on your 97. they take 9003 bulbs.

check ebay for a good deal.

Im assuming the H4 is the same as 9003 as im not changing the wiring just the lens fixture. I would be very happy to shwitch out the lenses withoout any wiring to change bulb types.

yup, no change in bulb or wiring.

its just a more reflective housing.
