'99 Limited

Hey 3rd Gen'ers, I've had a '99 V6 4WD Limited for about a year now. It was my brothers for about 5 years before that. I love this truck and want to do some mods to it, but I use this car on the road daily so I can't go too overboard. Any ideas?

Also you state you want to do some mods but, I didn't see too much of what type of mods? ie.. Lift? power? Wheels/Tires? Aesthetics ?

Probably wheels/tires, some aesthetics. I'd like to go off roading with it at some point, but I wont fit in my parking space with 35" tires an a huge bumper. That's my dilemma right now. Enough to go off roading, but not so much that I'll flip it on the road or not be able to find somewhere to park.... I don't think I'm making easy on you. Sorry.

Wheels and tires can do wonders for these 4runners. I'd suggest you start there. Bump up to a 265/75/16 if you haven't already and get an all terrain. Duratracs look and work awesome, as do Hankook Dynapro ATM, BFG AT's, or Cooper AT3 to name a few. A wider rim with less backspacing (16x8 with 4-4.5 backspacing will give a more aggressive look as well.

Then if you want a lift I would go with OME 881's and 906's. They will give you ~1.5 in the front and 2" in the back. That will really help and give you some clearance for light offroading. Otherwise there are a ton of small things you can do. As awd posted check out the build threads for ideas.
