99 Runna with some probs

I have a 99 4Runner with about 95000 miles on it. It went in for its 90000 mile service and since then the check engine light keeps coming on. The code is P0171 (too lean) and I have cleaned the MAF sensor. What else should I check before I spend big bucks to have the "professionals" take a look at it?

After you cleaned your MAF did you reset the ECU?.

If you did not disconnect the battery cables for 2-3min then reconnect should clear the code and then see if your CEL comes back on.

I had this same code on my 2000. I did clean the MAF but turned out to be a bad spark plug wire.
