Damn I really wish I had done some research on 4runners before I bought mine. I would have bought one of those highlanders if I had

Interesting....that 2nd one must be an absolute steal to some forum members. After all, it's a manual trans with a rear diff lock, plus it has a supercharger, touch screen navigation, and a bunch of TRD goodies. All for just $8600 asking price!

And just think...I was making a big deal out of paying $3900 for a smashed up 99 4Runner in another thread (insert sarcasm here):D:D:D

sense of humor welcomed...

yeah with a supercharger that should be a $15K truck! heheeee

just messin with ya Jed.. If it had the URD 7th injector upgrades and so on... leather interior/woodgrain/sunroof...(hey whadda ya know most of the stuff mine has...)

honestly though you can see there are quite a few nice examples out here-I would classify the 2 vehicles in this thread as high miles-though certainly not for a 4Runner.

Good to see the economy is holding up on this age of vehicle. If I were to sell mine I would list it at $10K and not budge from it. I know what I have put into mine. That supercharged one is gonna make someone real happy as long as it has not been run hard all "leaned" out....

That's actually a really nice 3rd gen. And the fact that it is supercharged should address any horsepower issues with the 3rd gen. If I were in the market, I'd consider buying it....but my offer would definitely be lower than the asking price!

Just called about the supercharged on and it has a sale pending but hopefully it falls through and my brother will get it:)

Oh i love the black one..practic'lly has everything you could ever want in a 4Runner. It's a good catch for a reasonably priced well-maintained truck.

I think they are still in the reasonable price range. As far as some feeling they are still way over priced I just take into consideration what the bank is willing to re-finance mine for(8K) and understand that they still see a profit if they have to repo and resale.
