99+ stuff on a 96

I am in the process of looking for spare 4x4 spindles and a front diff and found some stuff a guy pulled and he said they were off a 99+ 4runner.

Will the newer diff and newer 4x4 spindles be ok for my 1996? Is anything different with those components from 99+ and my 1996?

thanks,
Gregg

I'm pretty sure that they should be ok but get the part numbers and reference them against a 1996 with camelback toyota or etc.

1996-2002 4Runner
2001-2002 Sequoia
1995-2002 Tacoma
2000-2002 Tundra

They all use the same spindle.

japan-parts.eu website is my favorite for finding parts numbers and model usage.

Clicking on five digit part number opens box showing what years parts used on. If you put in your vehicle info VIN, frame number etc site tells you if part is for your vehicle or not. Example: I put E-locr axle in my 01, had to use VIN from a 96-2k Runner for 10 digit part number window to open.

Edit:
This is what site says about steering knuckles. My 01 manuf 11/00 falls under 35070 #, since it shows 01-02 part 35071 also it will work, but there's a difference in possibly how something attach's to knuckle.

43212 - KNUCKLE, STEERING, LH
