I JUST HIT 240198. THIS MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK. I HAVE OWNED CHEVY MY ENTIRE LIFE. I THINK I MIGHT BE CONVERTED! SHE STILL RUNS AS GOOD AS SHE DID AT 75000 WHEN I BOUGHT HER. A FEW MISHAPS A COUPLE OF EXPENSIVE PARTS,BUT SHE IS THE BEST 4X4 I HAVE EVER OWNED. AND I HAVE HAD ALOT. I ALSO HAVE AN 83 K5 BLAZER THAT IS MY BEATER IT ONLY HAS 55000. BUT ALOT MORE PROBLEMS.

Congrats. I just bought a 97 with 110k and am hoping to keep it for a long time. Can I ask what kinds of problems you've had, at what mileage and what expensive parts you're referring to?

i too am a convert, went from heaps/jeeps to the runners, can't be happier, i just hope the new 5th gens hold together as well as the 3rd gens as in about 8-9 years finding a good clean low mile 3rd gen is going to be almost impossible.
my truck only has 205k on it but i'm thinking ahead you know, i guess the bottom line is i got 205K on mine and i wouldn't hesitate to drive cross country right now,i know when my jeep hit 200K it was toast for the most part the only thing that has any life left in it is the engine.

Parts list/cost i don't recall

I know at about 200,000 i had to do all the ball joints! Then about 210,000 did the wheel bearings. I just know every time i go to get parts i cringe. But i do prefer, expensive parts over new truck any day! Some repairs have been my fault and some not. I am not a mall crawler, i do not worry about scratches or even a ding hear and there. Pound for pound my runner is way more capeable than my 83 k5 on 35 super swamper tsl's.

yeah i bought mine at 180K from a soccer mom, at 205K i don't need any of that, my springs don;t even have any sag in them. drives like new.
