I have a 99 Talls with 250k on them and need new front struts. I can get a set of 5th gen springs cheap and was going to pair with Bilsteins 5100 on second perch to keep the same ride height Anyone go this direction ?

Itskohler, I like the look of that 1" lift. I've been looking for something similar for a while. Don't want quite the 2-3" but a bit more than stock. My 99 w/ 225K is due for a refresh as well. Are those just springs of a 5th gen 4runner? Any specific model or year?

I netted good bit of lift in the rear thanks to the rear sagging it had before. But its the perfect OEM+ look that I like on all of my vehicles.

Any 5th gen non-OffRoad Pro springs will work. The fronts of those springs need the 6112 billies and they dont sell just the shock for that model. Check the classifieds here and on FB marketplace. Mine were 200ish shipped, and shipping is what cost the most, most seller if they're local will have 4 springs up for 100-150 or so.
