A Bird Flew into my 4Runner

My wife was driving my 2007 4Runner and she claims a pheasant.(we live in the UK). My passenger side mirror popped out and shattered. The casing is still there and all the guts. The only thing missing is the backing and the glass. I have been looking all over the internet for auto parts. I can find the whole mirror (which I don't need) or I can find the glass (which I have nothing to glue it to). Do anyone know of or have and extra glass and backing(power and heated) for a 2007 Limited 4Runner V6? Please help me out.

I'm not much help, but you should be able to buy just the glass from Toyota. May not be much available in aftermarket for just the glass. It should come w/ a plastic backing plate the will snap into place. I'm not 100% sure on that b/c I've never had mine off, but that's how most mirror glass attaches.
Next option is to call a few salvage yards, somebody will have a full mirror assembly for $100 or less. Problem is unless you plan to repaint it, the color will have to match. Hope that helps!

-This one is for the entire mirror assembly, but it seems cheap. If you do find one for cheap enough you can buy the automotive spray paint and paint it yourself. If you do it right, it should be a quality paint job. Good luck. Looks like you can buy just the mirror glass, but your best bet is Toyota to avoid distortion and ensure you get the part you need. They can also tell you how it attaches.

Thank you for all the links. I have a guy who can paint it for me with an exact match. But it looks like they can give me what I need with the glass and backing. Appreciate it, only have had the truck 2 months.

So you're driving a 2007 V6 in the UK? With costs of import and gas prices over there you must win the award for die-hard enthusiast. Gas must be the equivalent of $7.50 per US gallon in the UK right now.

LMAO...I do love my 4Runner but not that much lol. I bought the 4Runner here 2 months ago. Its fully loaded, dvd system, jbl, towing package, leather, pretty much the works and only 25,000 miles.. Guy really needed to get rid of it the KBB was 30K I got him down to 25K. Luckily I am in the Military and they will ship the vehicle back for me and I buy gas on base. We do pay in liters its $1.01 a liter. It takes about $70 to fill it up.
