A/c and temp control knob

Hi All
I have joined you guys after looking the internet for a a/c temp control knob and light for my 2006 4runner 6cyl. I did damage or have already spoiled the connector from the knob to the panel since I was trying to get to the bulb which i did but now when trying to reassemble it back a small clear rectangular plastic came off from the connector and when i try to put it back one of the strip on the connetor bends and does not go back in properly since the clear plastic thats supports and give it firmness is not there. My question is do i have to buy the whole panel with the three knobs or just the middle knob which is messed up and does it come with the connector

First off, welcome.

Can you snap a few pics of what you're dealing with. I've taken apart the HVAC unit a few time so i might be able to help, but not sure what you're describing from your post.

I've got an extra hvac control panel (the whole thing with 3 knobs). If you need a new one let me know, got it as a spare because I was going to do a custom radio install, but I do not think that is coming right away, so I can get rid of it if you or someone else needs it.

you can get just the knob section. runs about 25 bucks.

Hey, I think I have the same issue with new 2005 4runner, we were trying to replace the light bulbs behind the A/C unit knobs but some type of connector thing with a green stripe at the end was torn off in the process. Did you ever find out anything? We have went to the dealership but they do not know what part we are talking about.
