A/C being dumb in my 2003

So this problem is on and off guys. My 2003 V6 Sr5, every now and then, the air conditioning light blinks which indicates that there is a malfunction and it shuts off, so i just get regular air coming through. This has never happened before. I changed the cabin air filter and its still doing it. Any suggestions guys? and my warranty is over too!!!

The 2004 Repair manual says that a blinking A/C switch indicator means the A/C control panel isn't getting the correct speed information from the A/C compressor. Possible reasons for this-

1. The Belt is slipping.
2. The speed sensor, signal wiring, or A/C control panel has a problem.
3. Non-OEM sized pulleys.

#1 is most likely the cause. Check the tension and general condition of the belt and make sure it's not oily or glazed.

I'm taking mine in probably next week for this and I'll let you know what they come up with. I got the extended warranty, so it had better be covered.
