A/C Clutch shaking horribly

Found out the "helicopter" noise was indeed my A/C clutch, and it looks like the dangerous thing is about to fall off. I've been driving with the ac on like this for over 2 months!

How do I replace this? How difficult is it, tools, part numbers, etc..

Or would it be best to replace the compressor altogether. I have a mechanic that can replace a compressor but he says replacing just the clutch requires a specialized tool.

Basically I'm just asking so I can have him read this so he knows the best way to fix this problem. All professional opinions are graciously accepted.

Side note : the dealership said that because the clutch has been in this condition for this long with continuous use (Alabama humidity + heat = pressure cooker) that the clutch may have damaged the compressor, thus the whole thing needs to be replaced. They quoted me 850 with a Chevy aftermarket compressor, about 1200 with oem compressor.

Try a salvage yard for a better price on the clutch. As for the clutch my dad had a 04 GMC Sierra that did the same thing, the AC clutch went out and if I recall correctly, we had to take it to the mechanic because it does require some kind of special compressor that we didn't have. I know these are entirely different vehicles but I hope that helps...

My buddy doesnt have the tool to take the clutch off of the compressor, but Ive been looking around at OEM shops and the clutch is called a "magnet clutch". I have no idea what this means, but there are no good salvage yards in this area. there is one about 3 hours away the dealership told me about, and they specialize entirely in toyota trucks and suvs, BUT they refuse to call me back to tell me if they have the parts i was looking for (not the compressor and clutch). After 3 phone calls and 2 1/2 weeks, i can assume thats their way of saying they dont have what i need....
