when i bought my 4runner i noticed that my OFF indicator bulb was out. i finally got the chance to check it out. i took it apart knowing it was an LED but to my suprise there was no bulb in the spot where it should be. no nothing. has anyone else seen this. how do i know what LED bulb goes in there. it seems that it never got put in there when it was made. any ideas?

This thread is about a full swap to LED from the small regular bulbs that are OE. It shows how to change the bulbs and I think the Toyo dealer is the place for new bulbs. I just happen to have this one bookmarked... A search should show some more threads.

None of the 4th gens came with that "off" LED, however some of us have put one in. All you need is an LED that is the same size and color (standard 5mm/T1 3/4 yellow, Radio Shack has what you need) . Of course you have to solder it in with the proper polarity. That's all you need.
