A/C Issue

About 40% of the time when I start my car, my A/C won't turn on. Some of the details:

-If it's on "Lo", nothing comes out
-If I'm driving and I raise the temperature to north of 67, a small amount of cold-ish air blows
-Some of the time, if I hit a bump, it will make the A/C turn on
-If I turn my car off and turn it back on, that sometimes helps

Has anyone had a similar experience? Or have any advice? Thanks!

It's never happened to me but I think you could possibly have a loose connection somewhere. Check the plug to the back of the control unit behind the dash. Check the wired connection at the AC compressor itself. Perhaps someone with more knowledge will chime in here. I just wanted you to know that we do read these posts and try to help when we can. Definitely sounds like a loose wire.

Thanks! I’ll check the connections tomorrow and update the thread!

Do a search here and look for the HVAC diagnostic procedure. The HVAC dash controls and display have this feature.
