A couple misc. questions...

1. Did 99's with tall springs sit level originally, or with rake? And how were they with loads? Gonna have to do brakes, so instead of new springs/lc lift, I'm looking at cheaper options to get my rig to not sag anymore.

2. Tundra brake upgrade vs Brembo Rotors and Sport Pads on with original calipers? I'll be doing one of these two in the not too distant future as my rig currently has the death wobbles.

3. 3.4l auto, what are rpm's at 70mph supposed to be? I'm pretty paranoid about my cars, and it seems recently my 4runner shifts into overdrive too soon.

Brembo rotors with stock calipers should improve your shudders as it's primarily caused by rotor warpage when they overheat. I just removed some questionable rotors off my SR5 that were heat warping and replaced them with Brembos.

I did the Tundra caliper upgrade at the same time because they accommodate thicker rotors which should withstand even higher heat. My SR5 spends a lot of time in the western NC mountains so I want to make sure there are no issues with rotor warpage. Note that the Tundra and 4Runner rotors are the same diameter, so your braking power isn't going to increase dramatically, but the thicker Tundra rotors resist heat warpage better. Tundra calipers are slightly larger so there is some benefit there.

I had stock calipers and installed brembo rotors with new pads and the brembos warped in less than a year. I then installed some oem replacements from o'riely and they have held up very well. had them for about 4 years and 2 sets of pads.

next time i will upgrade calipers and rotors to the tundra setup
