A couple more questions on the new Runner

I've had the 4Runner for a couple weeks now, and have a couple questions.

1 - The brakes seems a little 'soft', and I've noticed that when depress the brake pedal I get a wierd sound, almost sounds like a puff of air mixed with a slight squal, hard to describe. It's not crazy loud, but you can hear it, even on the highway.

2 - The front windows have a haze or something on them that I'd like to get rid of. It's also a bit difficult to describe, other than just to say there's a hazyness on both the front windows. It's not on the windsheild or any of the other windows, only on the front two. I'm wondering if it's some kind of anti-glare film or something. This was a pre-owned vehicle, so it's possible that the people who owned it previously were smokers, but I don't believe that to be the case because I've found no other evidence of that.

Any suggestions on either one I'd appreciate. I can take it in to Toyota for a look at the brakes, but thought I'd see if that's 'normal' first.

1) The brakes might take time getting use to. The modulation is similar to my old Jeep's so I fit right in. I like em, better than my wife's grabby Lexus, I almost put her through the windshield yesterday driving her car. The noise is the hydraulic actuator I think, or maybe air escaping from a sealed electric, don't know which but I do know it's normal. It seems to quiet down over time. This is assuming you hear the noise inside the cabin, not outside the vehicle.

2) I have the exact same situation. I think, or know, it's the factory tint. I see a haze on the front two windows when the sun hits them just right. I don't see it on any of the others. I think it's the film. I'm a bit of a clean window fanatic so it's annoying but it's either live with it or change the tint.

OK on the brakes, we'll just get used to it.

On the front windows, can that tint be removed or is that going to be built into the glass? Anyone else notice this on the front windows?

Do you have the factory tint?

If yes, then yes, it can be removed.
