A couple new mods...

Finally got around to doing a few small mods I've wanted done for a while, just never took the time to do. First up was finishing floor protection. I had front Weathertech's, just got the rears and cargo area to finish that off. Next up was getting rid of the stock resonator, re-routing the exhaust to exit behind the rear tire, and adding a tip. Very happy with this, looks 10x better and also added a bit of a rumble that I like. It's loud enough to hear if you're paying attention, but not annoying or overbearing. If you weren't listening for it you probably wouldn't notice, but it's just enough for what I wanted. And lastly, I added 1.25" All Pro spacers all around. I love the 255/75/17 tires, but they set too far into the fenderwell for my liking. The spacers pushed them out perfectly and also makes the 4runner feel much more stable. Next round of mods will include a new suspension setup, probably going to go a little higher than I am now. I couldn't find any good before pics, but got a chance to snap a few new ones on my way home today.

The Volant is on my list, probably right after the new suspension. Over 143k miles and my stock XREAS is showing its age. I love the way the spacers changed the look. I have debated them for a long time, always thought it wouldn't be noticeable enough for the money. I ended up getting a good deal from a fellow member on the All Pro spacers, and they made a world of difference.

I moved the fender liner forward and had to remove the front mud flaps, but I've got zero rubbing that I've noticed (only been on since Tuesday night). I don't know about off road, but since 95% of my driving is on road it wasn't a big concern. They fit a lot easier than I thought they would have, considering I only have ~1.5" lift in the front.

I ended up paying more than I wanted to for the exhaust work, but I've been trying to get that done for about a year know. Went in to get a quote, guy wasn't busy and could get right to it. I think it was $40 for him to reroute the exhaust and another $35 for the tip. I wasn't expecting the sound to change, but it did and was an added bonus.

Anything in particular? I have more, a lot of them had a bad glare and didn't turn out. I'll get some more pics posted up in the next couple of days as time permits. I love the 255's, couldn't be happier there as well! Only thing I didn't like is how they sat too far in, and with that fixed now I'm lovin' it!!!

The only modification I done was to move the fender liner forward and take the mud flap off. I did not have to do any trimming of the bumper or anything like that. Feels the same driving, just more stable and less top heavy.

Haha, you could always make a little trip to AR!!! Thanks for the compliments. I'll admit I'm mostly a poser, 95% of my driving is on highway. I do hit some gravel roads and "trails" during hunting season but that's very minor. I try to keep it functional without going over the top.

It isn't that far!! I have thought about taking a trip to the Ozarks and checking them out for a nice weekend getaway!!

Nothing wrong with that man. Mine is probably 80/20 on road to off road so I enjoy a couple of fun trails and forest service roads. Check out my thread on Tuesday about the trails me and a buddy of mine did.

So if you go newer suspension what are you thinking about going with?

If you ever decide to come this way just let me know. There's a lot of backroads to run but not too many trails. There is a off road park nearby, if you'd be interested we might be able to get a small group together and hit some of the easy trails out there. If you'd be interested, check out this site for info on the park.

New suspension will be 5100's on the front and unsure on the back, either Bilstein HD's or the TT FJ rear shocks (can't run the 5100 rears with my OEM rear air suspension). I'm shooting for a total of 2.25" front and .75" rear so it'll still be leveled out.

you talking about superlift orv park? I'm right down in Shreveport and I've been wanting to go there for the longest time

Yep, the Superlift park is about an hour and a half from where I live. I've been wanting to try some of their easy trails just to get started. I've got a 87 4runner I'm wanting to build for a dedicated off road vehicle, but it's not there yet so I'd stick with the 1's and 2's.
