Problem is Toyota CHARGES blind spot monitor, parking assist, lane guidance prices, but doesn't actually include them.
The plastic in the 4runners is junk, look at the plastics in volvo's from 10 years ago. When it scuffs it just looks like normal wear, whereas in the 4Runner if you scuff their dark gray plastic it turns blue.
Don't get me wrong here, I realize that the price of a 4Runner is steep for "what you get". I kinda value not having all of the added stuff and educated myself enough to make what I considered an informed purchase.
Also, i'm not sure how applicable your argument for the Volvo is but I am also not too interested in comparing every auto manufacturers materials choices. To me, scratched interior pieces look like shit no matter how you perceive their level of post-damage beauty.
