I took the hubcaps apart, cleaned them with degreaser, wet sanded them , removed the clear painted them, painted center cap black and put them back together using epoxy along with 5 coats of clear. Did the same with roof rack , except I painted the main bar with a spray paint that has stainless steal pigment in it ($$ for a can). It has a Matt finish.

It's been over a year since I took the sandpaper to my hoodscoop grille and have not one speck of rust. High quality stainless.
 
If you mean the lights, I bought 2 of those lights that they use for license plates. They were chrome, so I just removed the chrome with a grinder and painted them to match the console.I ran the power off of cig lighter and put the switch on the dash in one of the empty slots. It's nice to have because at night, if you drop something on the floor, you dont have to go looking for a flashlight. Im thinking of putting one on each side in the back cargo area because even with a dome light, it's hard to see. I also added a cool green neon light under the ashtray that come's on when the stereo is turned on. I had to make some mods to nthe ashtray so that it couldnt be seen. All you see is light.

Yes, I really like it. Ive had many folks, even at the dealership tell me how good it looks...not to high or to low. Ride and handeling is very good.. It leaveled off after a couple hundred miles..so now it doesnt have that jacked up rear end look.

Nice, where did you buy them at? I really want to do this mod. I think I'll replace mine with blue LED's and have them come on when you open the door. That is, if I do the mod. Kinda low on money right now.
 
I think I bought them at autozone, but ive seen then even at walmarts.. Just about any parts store sales them. I belive they were like $2.50 each.
 
hey ron i really like the mod you did to the screen in the hood scoop..how did you do that? did you take the whole insert out? if so how do you get the insert out. i tried to get it out but i dont know if theres any screws under the hood insulation or not. please help..

yea, does anyone know how to get the screen out? I have to remove the bees from behind it!
