I did few new things to my 4Runner in the last few weeks, I changed my fog bulbs from the H3 to some 194 bulbs and I put some white 6 L.E.D. bulbs in them just like I have in my corner lenses.

You have been busy. The mods looks great. Are the HID's blinding to other drivers or were you able to aim them?

You have a PM.

Cool. OE = original?

I'm getting too many ideas for mods and my birthday is coming up.

Those HIDs seem really cheap price wise. I always though they were $150+. Are there any downsides to HIDs?

the only downside is you will lose your high beams the kits are only low beam kits, but they shine so good you won't need your high beams anymore anyway

There are hi and low beam HID kit available. I recent bought a kit with hi/lo beam. They cost more though. I got a 5000k hi/lo HIDs kit at $180 off of ebay.

6,000K is like a pure white?

If they don't blind oncoming traffict I might have to pick a set up.

yeah the 6,000K is a pure white, I wanted a good clean light output so I can see down the road at night and not have a bunch or "colored" light like with the higher Kelvin rating kits :awais:

i've never rode in a car with HIDs but from the look of it they are a big improvement. on the ride home last night from a football game a new Honda pilot was riding in the lane next to around a 99 model f150 and the HIDs of the pilot made the light comparison to a flashlight next to a candle.

So you would say the HIDs are an upgrade from stock? Did you ever try Silverstars or PIAAs?

yeah they are a great improvement, I've had about every aftermarket bulb out there and all the wrong wattages will just burn up your harness try to "put" more light out by pulling more wattage from your wire harness and this is not good, H.I.D.s rock:cool:

I got the 6k cause I wanted a clean pure white whit a twinge of blue but nothing more

Do you have enough room for eight 10"s?

Are you going for the wow effect or loudness?

yeah 8 ten's can and will fit in my cargo area, I'm going for really loud 150db + burps and competition 130.00-139.9 at about 20hz, plus with 3 tv's, ps2 and dolby 5.1 surround it will be nice
