So I just bought it yesterday and there's something weird going on with my oil gauge and temp gauge. When I was test driving it and driving it home yesterday it was fine, but I took it out last night to a friends house, both of those gauges were all the way to the left the whole drive there and back. But I drove it again this morning and it was fine. Any idea what's going on with it? Could it be because I had the heater on? I also need to adjust the parking brake because it rolls back if I park on the drive way. Anyone know how I can adjust it? There also seems to be oil leaking from the valve cover, Im assuming it's probably a bad valve cover gasket? Can anyone confirm this? The car is also leaking what it looks to be tranny fluid??? It seems to be leaking from above the rear of the tranny. You can see drips of it hanging from the plate above it. I haven't got under the car to inspect it closely because I am burning with a fever. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

The heat being on should have nothing to do with the gauge problem.
For parking brake, make sure the shoes are properly adjusted first, then there's an adjustment for the cable.
Leak could be a bad VC gasket, or maye the VC bolts are just a little loose.
You sure your tranny leak isn't really the t-case output?
