a Home Garage question

Heya guys

I just recently moved into my spankin new house a few months ago, and i think its time for the garage floor to be painted. I want to protect the floor against oil and stains in the future because i do maintenance on the motorcycle.

I've got a few boxes, my mower and motorcyle in my 2 car garage and i really don't want to leave the bike outside sitting there, so i was wondering if its possible to do the garage floor in 2 sections. After one side dries i can move the bike and things over to finish the other section off. would this work?

Sorry if its a rather silly question to ask here, but hey our T4R's at least have to sit someplace nice and neat :D

AHH crap didn't see that Off-Topic section.. my bad. sorry

Here's a pic of the house

I have an epoxy coat on my garage. I like it but i do alot of welding and metal work so it does chip. So, If you plan on use jack stands you got to be careful. I'm how ever able to wipe collant and oil stains with no problem..I currently have a 3 car garage and only the small side is painted. I just put a clear protectant on the other 2. and thats where i do the real wrenching.

your plan will work. Its just that when you wash out your garage degrease and etch it.(etching is like a chemical that roughs up the concrete like an acid). You wouldn't want to drive on it at all or take a chance to get greasy tire marks on there.

your choices are

1.clean,degrease, etch and paint your whole garage all in one day.

2. spend 2-3 days doing step 1 twice.PLUS-- mask and duct tape it in half so etcher doesn't get on teh other side.
(I used a old garden hose as a water dam. So the etcher didn't get everywhere.)

I used plan 2. I had to leave some part of my garage unpainted. So when I need to take a hammer to something it wont get scratched. HOPE THIS HELPS.
