Hi, I couldn't find this by searching, so I appreciate the help. I'm installing Bilstein rear shocks in a 2002 4runner. I'm having a tough time, so I need advice.
1. To take the old ones off, how do I hold the shock from turning while I remove the top nut? I assume I just hold it with some huge channel locks?
2. So assuming I ge the old ones out, how do I hold the bilsteins still while I tighten the top nut. I know this seems silly, but do I put an allen wrench in the top and a open end around it? In other words, I can't hold the shaft still and use a socket to turn the nut, right?
Thanks for the help -- I've done a bunch of shocks in my day, but this one is just messing me up as hard to reach. Any tips would be appreciated
