A little stumper

ok have looked at more info on LC coils than my brain can freakin handle, and i have come across a few posts here and there that say the LC coils, depending on year and trim, might actually not be the same size left and right, one shorter than the other, and the consesus is that i would better off getting 2 left front coils from the same year and trim to achieve the same amount of rear lift on my 99 4R, any thoughts, or anybody run across this, any other ways to get around this, thanks

I wouldn't worry about that, you can always throw in a trim packer for cheap if one spring sits slightly lower than the other.

In fact I think finding two left front springs from different trucks (even with same number of wraps) would cause even more of a headache because you don't the mileage, how each truck was used etc; you may end up with two springs that are worn out unequally. Hope that makes sense

I'm pretty sure the driver's side coil is slightly taller to account for the additional weight of the gas tank. Also (someone correct me if I'm wrong), you can't use 2 left coils or 2 right coils because they seat differently on the axle

no they seat the same but there is usually about .25" difference between the driver and passenger side coil to compensate for the extra weight of the fuel tank and driver. For instance my 8 wraps measure to 19.25" and 19.5", tall goes on driver side.

that does help alot, i thought that that might be an issue on the stance, have to accomidate for the weight of the driver and of course a full gas tank, thanks guys, i will just have to use a trim packer to make up the small difference

If there is a difference, it's probably not enough to see...many of us in here run LC coils and I haven't heard of anyone with truck that lean...I think you'll be fine
