A little work done today

Well after my 4runner has been squealing at start up for about a month now I finally bit the bullet since I had the day off. Only took me about two hours and I replaced all three belts and the water pump which was original with 168,000 miles on it. I bought the 4runner about 3 months back and I am going through all the maintenance I want to be sure was done. Only thing left is grease the drive shaft, change the rear differential fluid, and change the transmission fluid.

It only took you 2 hours? Holy crap. In two hours about all I get done is thinking about what I want to do next......

So did this include the timing belt? Or are there 3 accessory belts? I guess I haven't paid enough attention.....I assume that if you did the water pump the timing belt had to come off anyway. Man that's fast.



Don't forget the t-case and the front diff if you're changing the rear diff fluid. Unless of course it's 2wd.....

Yeah it's a two wheel drive. The job wasn't too bad. The hardest part was getting the fan and fan shroud off. She's running like a champ now. It was the three accessory belts that I changed out.

Does the 2.7L have 3 acc. belts?

There was the fan/alternator, power steering, and ac. Each one has it's own tensioner so its not too bad.
