A noob from Bay area

Hello to all members and just would like to introduce my self to the forum,My name is John from S.F Bay area (Pittsburg) and currently working on a new project that i got 2 weeks ago,i just bought a fixer upper from Napa it's a 99 SR5 4runner with a bit over 200k the price was right and the body was in decent shape.this would be my 2nd 4runner since i had to sell my 91 4runner to my friends son early this year after all the work i did to it (cylinder Heads etc.) my wife didn't like the 5 speed to drive around at times since i will be getting rid of her 95 Montero the reason why i need an automatic and i was glad i found this while browsing CL.

As for the the issue with this rig it's currently have a coolant leak into one of the cylinders and starting to mix a bit with the oil i'm trying not to it run too long to avoid any more damage the PO just spent some money on new tires and other things before he decided he had enough and decided to let it go.i will continue to update you guys in any progress on what will happen to this rig.here are some pics of my 93 hilux and the current 99 4runner.:biggrin2:

91 4runner

Here is my 91 4runner before i sold it to my friends son,i miss that rig.it would be nice if i could have kept it.:cry2:

Then another friend sucked it up and got a FJ-Cruiser and it was completely downhill from there.

Next thing you know I've got this big green paperweight sitting in my driveway and my neighbors look at me all weird.

Yes i do drive them on occasions just because i'm the only one in our shop who works on it thus the name.LOL. I hate the fact that i get stuck working on this beast and it pays next to nothing coz most people do their own services or mods,i get stuck doing warranty work thats why i run every time this beast shows up.:D

I noticed a reflection of a bike hanging in your garage,what do you have?i just started recently riding MTB for recreation and exercise.one thing i really miss about the older V10's are the loppy idle makes it sound like a race car.

Not possible to roll on the floor at work i have 2 set of engine torn down near my box and work bench,it's like slip n slide in my work stall for the last week.:shrug:

That's a 1995 Specialized S-Works StumpJumper hanging up there.

Yeah, gotta love the 708 cam combined with T&D roller rockers!:D
