A question about TE seats...

I am strongly considering trading in my 4th gen for a 2011 TE. I haven't had time for a test drive yet, but I have sat in an SR5 with leather seats. I immediately noticed the bottoms of the front seats are at least 2-3 inches shorter than my 2007 Sport. It was kind of uncomfortable, though I didn't play with adjustments too much as I was in a hurry.

Does anyone notice their TE seats being shorter or less comfortable than their previous 4th gen? I did a search but didn't come up with much. It would be really disappointing if they cheaped out on the seats in such a great truck!

I think that the seats in the TE were a little stiff. I put in some Wet Okole seat covers and now they are very comfy. As far as seat height, you can adjust the height of the seat. In the TE's, they have electronic seat adjustments that include up/down, forward/back, recline and lumbar. I really like the up and down feature cause my wife always changes the seat height.

The TE seats feel basically the same as the SE seats. Thank God! To me the SR5 seats felt like sitting on a short bench.

I traded in the 4th Gen yesterday for the 5th Gen. Some pros, some cons, but overall very happy. I'll post pics and stuff in a new thread soon.

Me too... I bought some Wet Okole's for my TE from autoanything - they gave me a 15% discount. I do not find the seats uncomfortable, but needed the protection from kids and dogs...
