Dang, I just read 12 pages of TRD Pro hate (this thread and the review one). I don't post as much on this forum as I used to, I mostly just read nowadays. I've only recently become a 5th Gen owner (March 2015). I've owned 4 3rd Gens. I love my 2015 LE and have no regrets buying it. I must say though, there is some serious drama in the 5th Gen forum vs the 3rd Gen forum.....

I was on the board this morning when this thread was posted. Before there were any replys I knew OP would incite people to 5 pages in a few hours. I yelled to my girl 'Some guy is starting drama on t4r!' and she yelled back 'Drama? Isn't that site about bumpers and lights?'

Sorry, inciting drama was not my intention. We had enough going on in the other thread about the magazine review. I thought maybe I could explain to some of the guys why those threads kept going off of the rails in order to keep it from happening so often.
Yes, she has a very good point. Drama is not what this place should be about, but I also don't think that having a little fun every now and then is a bad thing either.

This reminds me of a time a met a local TRD Pro owner. I chatted with him for a bit, checking out each other's ride. He proceeded to ask me how much I paid for the TRD pro wheels I had on my TEP. I said 7. He asked me "Really, I didn't know that option cost $7000!?" I laughed, but then realized he was serious...

Oh yeah! I genuinely hate the word "Pro" as much as I hate the word "Extreme" in product nomenclature. Idiot Marketeers know it sells product. What was ever wrong with calling it simply a TRD? Using these catching phrases can ultimately influence less intelligent individuals into thinking that because they bought something labeled as such through proxy makes them such. This really diminishes perceived credibility in those that actually are and know what they are doing.
