I've been a member of JeepForum, TundraTalk, NASIOC, and this forum years ago (but I lost all my login info when I bought my 5th gen and returned... :violin
. NOWHERE, have I encountered a group of senior members (sorry, 1engineer... I mean "senior" in terms of your forum tenure... :bounce that seek truth and accuracy to the extent these guys do. I can't keep up with the ATROCIOUSLY inaccurate posts about leasing vs. financing and which is better, along with the other finance related posts people make here... I'd be typing all day. But these senior guys do keep up. They seek the truth, and correct information that is inaccurate, FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE FORUM.
In the fire service, rookies are only to speak when spoken to; to learn from those that have come before; and, most importantly, remember that the uniform (or in this case, avatar) doesn't make you a firefighter (expert), YOUR PEERS will let you know once you've earned their respect. I think that translates pretty well here. Many (but not all) of the new kids on the block have a serious sense of entitlement, before they have put in their time (SEARCHED FOR DUPLICATE THREADS BEFORE POSTING).
Many of the threads and replies do smack with an elitist overtone (which I sense is somewhat driven by the word PRO on their vehicle) and it rubs the "older" people the wrong way. The reality is, nobody is impressed by another 4R on the site (heavily modded examples excluded). We all have the same s***.
Snobby "Pro" guys, knock it off (or go start a Pro Only forum). The rest of us peons will try to be a little more patient as well (wait... no we won't).

I see people put what trim level they have in their posts all the time:
LE/TE/TEP etc.
I have never thought to myself: "Wow, what a jerk! How dare they type out what trim level they have!1!!one!"
I bought a TRD Pro because I really like orange. And the wheels and tires looked cool. I am thrilled with it so far in my first week.

You should always put the trim level in your signature line along with the year manufactured. This way when you ask a question people who answer will know what specific vehicle you have. There are differences. Not a lot, but enough.
