A/V Alpine Stereo Install

I have a cord (Ai-net) that sticks ou the rear of the A/V head unit(w205), which causes the face of the unit not to be flush with the dash. What is behind the stereo? Can I modify it?

I have the same problem, I have an aux-in cable plugged into the back of my HU for a DVD player mounted right below and they both hit the white plastic housing behind them. I'm not 100% sure but I think that the housing back there is for the a/c ducts in the center of the dash. I don't think cutting it would be a good idea either, you can maybe sand or grind it a little thinner than it is tho, just don't go all the way through...

what about heating it with something and bending the plastic?

I would really like to find a solution to this

Problem solved. I just used bic light and heated the white plastic just enough then use the end of a screw driiver handle and pushed it into the plastic. it worked great and the dash is flush with the screen.
